Laboratory Rotation

How can we identify bacteria once we isolate them?
What makes bacteria antibiotic resistant?
How can we use viruses to help us change medicine?

Laboratory investigations are a cornerstone of the progression and expansion of scientific knowledge. During Citizen Science, first-year students will use a variety of important laboratory techniques as they collect evidence and use data to develop, ask, and answer questions about the world around them. Students will gain an appreciation for the range of approaches applied by scientists and, while engaging in research themselves, they will consider the broader implications of these questions.
